本國際研討會由國立臺灣科技大學與美國加州大學爾灣分校（UC Irvine）共同辦理，匯聚臺美兩地研究者、教育工作者與高教領導者，聚焦兩項相互連結的議題：全英語授課（EMI）教學法，以及人工智慧（AI）於教與學中的適切整合。活動核心在於：教師如何引導學生與 AI 一起學習，而不是將真正促成學習的推理、判斷、適度挑戰與反思外包給 AI。透過主題演講、跨校專題座談、計畫短講與開放對話，促進研究成果與課堂實務的連結，並為臺科大與 UC Irvine 的後續合作奠定基礎。

Taiwan Tech × UC Irvine Symposium on EMI & AI Integrated Teaching
Co-organized by National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech) and the University of California, Irvine (UC Irvine), this symposium brings together researchers, educators, and institutional leaders from Taiwan and United States to explore two closely connected priorities:
- English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) pedagogy.
- Thoughtful integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in teaching and learning
From innovative EMI teaching strategies to the integration of AI into teaching and learning, the symposium offers participants to gain international perspectives and practical insights, while exploring new possibilities at the intersection of EMI and AI.
Anyone who is interested in Bilingual Education or EMI instruction is welcome to participate!

- Faculty members at NTUST who participate in this EMI lecture will be eligible for additional points under Article 4 of the 「國立臺灣科技大學全英語授課課程獎勵辦法」. Participation must be completed in the current semester (Fall 2026, 115-1 semester) to be counted. This session counts as one EMI-related lecture under the EMI Teaching Assistant Training and Rewards Regulations.
